Google Search Engines

The Googlebot will not
index your site if you have these three things
which do not
match. Your main keyword on your page must be in your
Title somewhere
such as "Google Search Engines". Your main keyword must be in
your
description
(at the beginning) and your keywords must match the content of
the title
and
description. These keywords must also be on your pages and if
you want
to index
other pages other than your homepage, then these keywords must
match the
title and
description of that particular page.
Now, this is not
to say that Google will not index your site, it will
eventually
because of the
algorithms that the engine itself starts a search for any
new
sites to
begin with, always searches for new sites, especially those
which are hitting
the submission process or is starting to have inbound links
pointing to the
new site.
Another helpful method is to make sure your
ALT tags and the rest of
your meta's are
correct. Google will revisit your site. You can tell it to do
so by using the
following tag:
Meta Name="Revisit-after"
Content="#Days"
Simply put a number (#) for the amount
of days you want Googlebot to
revisit
your site. Google and a few other spider engines will only do
this. All the
others use a
directory indexing.
One of the main key elements for
getting and staying in Google is to
always change the
content on your pages at least once a week. When
it's
time to
spider your site and Googlebot finds a simple change it then
sends a path of
recognition to the Spiders link-port to index your
site
again
because it has found a recent change and the update
happens
immediately. This goes for any Search Engine as
far as changing the content.
You do not have to change
anything major on your pages. Just a simple
link or
two, or maybe some new content will do just fine. The key is
to
make these
changes and ensure your title, description and keywords
match, then
you'll have no problem. Of course having inbound links
is
a plus as
well pointing to your site always helps.
The new found
issue lately, is the drop in ranking of sites which
have
been at the
top for years. What I have found is, Google's system
ranks
newer sites
according to the results that Googlebot has given a
higher
rate of
search for the result. This means, even though your site was
not
in the results on
day x, might be in the results another day giving a
"fair Play" for
the search and giving sites a chance to get listed.
The
most popular word search for in 2004 was "Blog". Bloggers
flocked
to this idea and
this opened many new avenues for communication
on the internet.
The next most popular was RSS feeds. Both have
enabled a steady
stream of traffic to site owners and it has
caused a
downsizing in email marketing, however the steady
stream of spam
always never cease to exist.
This Blog and RSS has
grown to astounding levels in search
engine results
today. Webmasters all over the world have picked
up on this
new method so, that the quickest and most effective
way to get
a site indexed in search engines now is through
RSS feeds
and blogs. This amazing technique will usually
index
your site
with these on your pages, within 24-48 hours tops.
The
question stands though, Do you still need to have the
correct
meta tags
and optimized pages? The Answer is YES. Even
without
RSS and the
use of blogs, any web pages which is lacking relevant
content will most
likely get indexed, but will be back in the pack
of the results.
Having everything right on your pages before
it goes
live, will make it search engine ready and receptive
when it hits
other search engines and directories.
